If you have missing or damaged teeth, All-on-4® with Dental Implants are considered to be as close as you can get to natural teeth. But compared to traditional dentures and bridges, strong and durable implants also come at a higher cost. Here is the breakdown on what you’re really spending your money on, including how All-on-4® dental treatments are covered by your insurance.
If you’re amongst the 25.5 per cent of Australian adults with untreated tooth decay or missing teeth and are considering your treatment options, you might be startled by the average cost for All-on-4® and dental implants. We understand that the out-of-pocket cost for dental treatments can really bite into your savings.
And whilst there are many options available to those looking to replace missing or rotten teeth, some of which appear significantly cheaper at a first glance, there are two major issues with these offers:
Firstly, there is very little to no scientific proof to support the success of some of our competitors. Next Smile™, on the other hand, uses the Malo Protocol which has over a decades worth of successful research backing comprehensive knowledge and ground-breaking techniques, making us one of the world’s most renowned and trusted destinations for anyone in need of restorative dentistry. We have obtained scientific recognition and validation both at a national and international level and continue to deliver innovative solutions and personalised treatment plans to our patients.
Secondly, to stay competitive, many competitors will make offers that exclude the important 6-month checkup, fitting the final bridge (permanent Malo bridge) immediately after surgery. While this appeals to those travelling a far distance for treatment, convenience shouldn’t really be a driving factor when it comes to your dental health. It greatly increases the risk of implant failure, either shortly after the procedure or five years later.
The hard-to-beat benefits of All-on-4® with Dental Implants by Next Smile™ have made us the obvious choice for thousands of Australians. We strongly believe that All-on-4® is a significant investment in your overall health and is so much more attainable than you may think. We don’t believe pricing should be an object for you. Not when your teeth are at stake.
You know that your oral health has a major impact on your quality of life. The condition of your teeth and gums is closely tied to your overall health and wellbeing. The true cost of dental implants goes well beyond. You can’t put a price on comfort, confidence and happiness.
The True Cost of Dental Implants
According to Canstar, a single tooth implant can cost between $2,850 to $6,000. Considering that that average adult has about 32 teeth, replacing them one by one wouldn’t be a feasible solution. Luckily, there are a range of options available for those who have one or multiple missing or decayed teeth.
Fixed bridges, removable partial dentures and removable complete dentures are common ways to replace missing teeth. Whilst they are cheaper at a first glance, they come with their own set of challenges and disadvantages that need to be accounted for.
Thanks to modern dental technology, dentures and bridges can be both functional and aesthetic, but that doesn’t change the fact both treatment options involve extra costs for ongoing care and maintenance. They’re temporary solutions that with a little luck, can last anywhere between 5 to 15 years. Dentures can’t be worn 24 hours a day and may cause degradation of the bone structure in the jaw.
Dentures and bridges aren’t right for everyone, but thanks to today's dental advancements, there is an option that is both permanent and functional: All-on-4® with Dental Implants. The All-on-4® treatment concept was developed to create a seamless finish for teeth that look and feel just like natural teeth and would require the same level of dental care. All-on-4® uses four titanium screws to carry prosthetic teeth placed on top. Avoiding the need for bone grafting, All-on-4® dramatically reduces the required treatment time and therefore costs.

Chances are that the unique advantages of the Malo Protocol and the advanced technologies we rely on, will allow you to break through the barriers that once kept you from a beautiful, strong smile.
All-on-4® Dental Treatment Cost at Next Smile™
The cost you pay for dental implants may vary depending on a variety of factors and your individual diagnosis. What sets Next Smile™ apart from other providers, is that we charge one price for your entire treatment (excluding anaesthetics). Next Smile™ pricing starts at $27,000 for a single arch. This cost can increase in more complicated cases or if you have any prior health conditions.
What’s Included in the Price?
As part of our Gold-Standard approach, we adhere to the Malo Protocol, a treatment approach that is unique and clinically proven. Your fee includes both your temporary, acrylic teeth provided to you on the day of your surgery and the second and permanent set of teeth, which you will receive after your three-month healing period. No hidden fees or bad surprises.
If you see lower prices offered by other service providers, they might only be for the initial, temporary teeth and you will be charged more for the second and final set. Your Payment Options
Medicare and Private Health Insurance
Medicare, unfortunately, does not cover the cost for dental implants. That is, unless your GP can attest that your health is greatly impacted by the state of your teeth or you are a concession card holder. The latter could make you eligible for state-based dental vouchers.
Private health insurance in Australia covers dental implants but is limited in the major dental category, which is capped annually. Most extras will only cover general dental treatments like check-ups, professional cleaning or small fillings. Here are very few companies that offer dental insurance and most of them cover dental implants.
Early Release of Your Super Fund
There is a third option: In some cases, Superannuation funds can be accessed early to pay for dental implants. The Early Release of Superannuation (ERS), has been established to provide you with access to your funds and allow you to focus on what truly matters: Your health and happiness. To find out if you qualify for ERS, you can reach out to our partner SuperCare. SuperCare is able to guide you seamlessly through the two-step application process, so that you are able to access your Superannuation to help finance you or your family member’s dental procedure with Next Smile™.
